Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

In short We use your details to assess your enquiry, to underwrite a facility where Solvo Funding is the lender, to introduce your company to one of our lending partners where it is not, and to contact you about your enquiry. We don't sell your data, and this website doesn't set cookies or store anything on your device unless you choose to start Alex, our AI assistant — which loads only when you press Start. If you use our free credit assessment, an automated system reads your company's public Companies House record and scores it — no human writes that result, no lender sees it, and we delete it after 30 days; section 11 explains it and your rights over it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

1. Who we are

Solvo Funding is a trading name of Solvo Funding Ltd, a commercial finance intermediary registered in England and Wales (company registration in progress (number will be displayed upon incorporation)), with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.

Solvo Funding Ltd is the data controller of the personal information described in this notice. We are not yet registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); our application to be entered on the ICO's register of fee payers is pending, and we will publish our registration number here as soon as it is issued.

Questions or requests about your data: email nir@solvofunding.co.uk or write to us at our registered office.

2. The information we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

Our website is a simple static site. Our hosting provider records standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and capacity purposes. See section 9 on cookies.

We do not intend to collect special category data (such as health information) and ask that you do not send it to us.

3. How we use your information, and our lawful bases

PurposeLawful basis (UK GDPR)
Assessing your enquiry, underwriting a facility we fund ourselves, and introducing your company to a suitable lending partner where we do notTaking steps at your request before entering into a contract; legitimate interests (assessing and underwriting funding applications, and running our introduction service)
Contacting you about your enquiry by phone, email or SMSConsent (which you give on the form and can withdraw at any time); legitimate interests
Passing your application and supporting documents to lenders you agree to be introduced toLegitimate interests; taking steps at your request before a contract
Keeping records of introductions and commission for accounting, tax and auditLegal obligation; legitimate interests
Preventing fraud, money laundering and misuse of our serviceLegal obligation; legitimate interests
Loading Alex, our AI assistant, and the data our AI provider then sets on your deviceConsent — given when you press Start, and not before (PECR regulation 6)
Recording, transcribing and summarising a conversation with Alex so we can answer and follow upLegitimate interests (answering enquiries and keeping an accurate record of what was said); taking steps at your request before a contract
Recording who has requested our free funding guideLegitimate interests (knowing who is receiving our published material)
Running the free automated credit assessment when you ask for one, and reading your company's public Companies House record in order to produce itConsent — which you give by ticking the box on the check form, and can withdraw at any time; taking steps at your request before a contract
Sending the completed assessment to us by email so that a person reviews the automated result before we act on it, and can explain it to youLegitimate interests (human oversight of an automated result, and answering your enquiry)
Sending marketing about our own services (only if you have opted in — for example by ticking the optional insights box on the guide download form)Consent — you can opt out at any time

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced those interests against your rights and freedoms. You can object at any time (see section 8).

4. Who we share your information with

We share your information only where necessary, with the following categories of recipient:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass it to third-party marketing lists.

5. International transfers

We aim to keep your data in the UK. Solvo Funding Ltd is a UK company, but its sole director — the only person who accesses applicant information — works from Israel, and personal data we hold is accessed from Israel in the ordinary course of running the business. Israel is covered by the UK's adequacy regulations for international transfers, and that adequacy finding is the transfer mechanism we rely on for that access, so no additional safeguard is required for it; we review that status at least once a year.

Some of our service providers may also process data in the EEA or other countries; where that happens, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

One transfer is worth naming specifically. ElevenLabs, which runs Alex (section 10), is based in the United States and processes conversations there. The United States is not covered by a UK adequacy finding that we rely on, so that transfer is made under the safeguards in ElevenLabs' data processing terms — the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses. This applies to a conversation however you reach Alex: through the assistant on this website, or by telephoning +44 7462 180375, which is the same assistant on a phone line. If you would rather nothing left the UK, do not start the assistant on this site and do not ring that number — use the enquiry form, email us, or call our head-office line on +44 20 4577 4091, none of which involve ElevenLabs at all.

6. How long we keep your information

7. How we protect your information

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and contracts with our processors. Financial documents are shared with lenders through secure channels. No system is completely secure, but we take the protection of your data seriously and will notify you and the ICO of any breach where the law requires it.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

To exercise any right, email nir@solvofunding.co.uk. We'll respond within one month. There's no fee unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

9. Cookies and storage on your device

This website does not set cookies, and it does not store anything on your device — no cookies, no local storage, no session storage. It does not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking technologies of any kind. That is true of every page, on every visit.

There is one thing that can change it, and only you can set it off. If you press Start on Alex, our AI assistant, code from our AI provider loads and that provider will store data on your device in order to run the conversation. Until you press Start, nothing to do with the assistant touches your device or the network — not the script, not a connection to the provider, not so much as a preparatory DNS lookup. It is built that way on purpose. If you never press Start, the paragraph above describes your visit completely and this notice has nothing further to disclose to you. Section 10 explains the assistant in full.

This section is about storage on your device, so it concerns the website only. Telephoning Alex on +44 7462 180375 stores nothing on any device of yours — but the call is still recorded and transcribed by the same provider, and section 10 covers that. Reading this section and stopping there would give you the wrong picture of the phone line.

If you reach this site by clicking one of our adverts, the advertising platform adds identifiers to the web address (for example utm_source or gclid). We read those identifiers from the address of the page you are on, and if you go on to submit the enquiry form we include them in that submission so that we know which advert produced the enquiry. They are read in your browser's memory for that page only and are discarded when the page closes. Nothing is written to your device and nothing is sent anywhere unless you submit the form.

The free credit assessment does not change any of this either, although it looks as though it might. A check takes two to four minutes, and during that time the page has to remember which check is yours. It does that by putting the reference for the check into the web address, after the # — so the address in your bar reads something like /credit-check/#job=… while it runs. That is not storage on your device: nothing is written to your disk, the part of an address after a # is never sent to any server, and it is gone the moment you close the tab. We do it so that an accidental reload does not throw away a check that is already halfway through. We could have used session storage, which would have been easier — we did not, because it would have meant breaking the promise in the first paragraph of this section for the sake of our own convenience.

If any of this changes — for example if we add analytics or an advertising pixel — we will update this notice and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before the technology is set. Our hosting provider's standard server logs (see section 2) are the only other technical data collected.

10. Alex, our AI assistant

Alex is an AI assistant. It is run for us by ElevenLabs, an AI provider, acting as our processor under contract; Solvo Funding Ltd remains the controller of what you tell it.

There are two ways to reach it, and they are the same assistant with the same memory of the conversation you are having:

Our head-office line, +44 20 4577 4091, is a different number: it reaches a person, it is not answered by Alex, and it is not recorded.

Nothing loads until you press Start

The button in the corner is ours and is part of this page. Pressing it opens a short notice; only pressing Start in that notice loads anything from ElevenLabs. We built it this way so that visitors who do not want a third party involved in their visit do not get one, rather than being asked to opt out after the fact.

Because the assistant loads only on that press, we do not persist your choice — there is nowhere to persist it that would not itself be storage on your device. If you move to another page, you will need to press Start again. That is a deliberate trade.

If you telephone Alex instead

A phone call has no screen, so none of the above can be shown to you: there is no notice to read and no Start to press. Two things follow, and we would rather set them out here than let you discover them.

First, Alex tells you itself, in its opening sentence, that it is an automated assistant and that the call is recorded. That sentence is the disclosure on this channel, and it is deliberately the first thing said rather than something you have to ask for. If you would rather not continue on that basis, hang up — nothing further is processed, and you can email nir@solvofunding.co.uk or ring our head-office line on +44 20 4577 4091 instead.

Second, a call cannot be conducted without recording it. Recording is how the assistant works, not an option layered on top, and neither you nor we can switch it off for a call in progress. If you want to speak to us without being recorded, use the head-office line.

Making the call routes your telephone number, the audio of the call and its transcript through ElevenLabs and its telephony provider, in the United States (see section 5). Your own network operator also handles the call in the ordinary way, as it would with any call, and that is outside our control.

Your microphone

Voice is optional. If you choose to speak, your browser will ask for microphone permission separately, and you can refuse and carry on by typing. We do not have access to your microphone at any other time, and the assistant does not listen before you start it.

What is collected and what we receive

The conversation is recorded and transcribed. At the end of it, we receive the transcript, an automatically generated summary, and any business or contact details you gave — the same information a form enquiry would give us, arriving by email in the same way. That is true of a conversation on this website and of a call to +44 7462 180375 alike; on a call we also receive the number you rang from and how long the call lasted.

Please do not give the assistant your card number, bank login, passwords or one-time codes. We will never ask for them, and Alex has no use for them. If you paste something sensitive into the conversation by accident, tell us and we will delete it.

Please also do not tell the assistant anything about your health or other special category data; we do not need it and do not want it (see section 2).

What Alex is, and is not

Alex gives information and asks questions. It does not give advice or recommendations, it cannot approve anything, it cannot make you an offer, and nothing it says commits us or any lender. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. If you would rather deal with a person, say so, or email nir@solvofunding.co.uk or ring +44 20 4577 4091 — you never have to use the assistant to get an answer from us.

The assistant does not make automated decisions about you, and no decision about your enquiry is taken by it (see section 11).

Your rights over a conversation

Everything in section 8 applies to conversations with Alex: you can ask for a copy of the transcript, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will pass a deletion request on to ElevenLabs as well as acting on it ourselves. Email nir@solvofunding.co.uk.

11. Automated processing and the free credit assessment

We do not make automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects. One part of this site does use automated processing, though, and we would rather describe it fully than leave it to a sentence.

What the credit assessment is

The free check at /credit-check/ is run entirely by an automated system. You give it a company number and the amount, term and purpose of the funding you are considering. It reads that company's public record at Companies House — the register anyone can search — and produces an assessment of the risk of lending that amount, on that term, to that company. No person writes the result. It takes two to four minutes because the system is doing the reading and the reasoning in that time, not because someone is looking at it.

What goes into it

In broad terms the system weighs what the public register says about the company — whether it is active, how long it has been trading, its filing and accounts history, whether filings are up to date, its stated industry — against the size and length of the borrowing you entered. From that it produces a risk score, an estimated probability of default, an indicative interest rate and monthly payment, and a written list of the factors counting for and against, with suggestions for improving the position. It does not use your bank data. It does not ask for statements, it does not connect to your bank, and no Open Banking connection is offered or made by this site.

Why this is not a decision about you

It is a decision-support tool and nothing turns on it. Running the check does not submit an application. No lender sees the result — it goes to you on the page and to us by email, and nowhere else. Nothing is approved, refused, priced or withdrawn on the strength of it, and it commits neither you, nor us, nor any lender to anything. Any actual lending decision is made later, on a full application — by our own underwriters where we are the lender, or by a lending partner under that lender's own process and its own privacy notice. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority; the assessment is not advice or a recommendation.

The safeguards we apply anyway

Under UK GDPR you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing which produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you. Because we take that seriously rather than only where it strictly bites, we apply the protections regardless:

The figures we do not put on the page

The system produces a numeric risk score and a percentage probability of default. We deliberately do not display those to you. A bare number carries an authority it has not earned — it is a machine's reading of a public filing record, not an underwriting verdict on your business, and shown as a figure it invites being taken for one. What the page shows instead is the substance: where the assessment lands in qualitative terms, the factors counting for and against, what would improve the position, and indicative pricing.

That said, those figures are your personal data and we are not hiding them from you. Ask and we will give you them, with an explanation of what they mean and what they do not — email nir@solvofunding.co.uk. Your rights of access in section 8 apply to the assessment in full.

Alex and our lenders

Alex, our AI assistant, does not make automated decisions about you either, and no decision about your enquiry is taken by it (see section 10). Where Solvo Funding is the lender, automated tools help our underwriters assess an application, but a person makes the decision. Our lending partners do use automated tools, including automated decision-making in some cases, as part of their own credit assessment once your application reaches them. That is their processing, not ours: their privacy notices explain it and set out your rights against them, and we can tell you which lenders received your details.

12. Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first at nir@solvofunding.co.uk — we'd welcome the chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK supervisory authority:

13. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the "last updated" date above. If we make significant changes to how we use your data, we'll tell you directly where we reasonably can.
